I'm home today with a bad headache and no desire to work. So, as usual when I am home at any time during the week and am able to- I watch The Price is Right! I have watched this show for as long as I can remember because I have always loved it! The games never get old (although, the tacky models do)! It was THE show to watch when I stayed home from school when I was sick or during the summer after breakfast. And I remember my mom saying that it was my Auntie Yvonne's favorite show and for some reason, even though I never knew her (she died before I was born)- it always made me feel a connection with her. Especially because I had her name as my middle name. But anyway... the reason for writing this is not be nostalgic although I'm sure with a lot of you- simply just hearing the name of the show brings nostalgic feelings.
The REAL reason for this is because I find it HILARIOUS the commercials they play during the show. I mean, here's the thing- the commercials are mostly directed to people 55 and older and I'm living proof that not all who watch the show are 55 and older! They have commercials for things such as electric wheel chairs with names like; Jazzy or Rascal (maybe to make it seem like it's "cool" to own an electric wheelchair), they play commercials for Depends adult diapers, Medicare commercials of some sort, and my LEAST favorite... Wilford Brimley for Liberty Medical Supplies! Someone sent this to me once and I think it's freaking hilarious.

Now did you watch The Price is Right? And how old are you? Do you need the old people commercials like you need a hole in the head? I would say that 75% of the people that they call up to be "the next contestant on the Price is Right" are youngsters! But anyway.... that's all.
