Ben update

I'm not going to make this a long drawn out update... just some things I wanted us to remember.
-he says "ater-gader" for Gatorade
-lately things always happened "last night" instead of like yesterday or last week or whatever time period. Or even "a couple weeks ago"... as if he knows!
- he's such a good swimmer, he actually can get from one place to the other! He loves jumping in the water (with water wings).

-One Saturday morning when we got up we found him asleep on the couch! we think maybe his little "school bus" is getting uncomfortable for him.
-is a very sensitive and compassionate little soul. The other day we dress up as cows for Chick-fil-a's customer appreciation day, and I felt SO sick and couldn't even eat our free meal and he was SUPER concerned. He said "ahhhh! Mommy! What's wrong? You don't feel good?? (All with a high pitched concerned tone) It's okay Mommy... I'll come rub your back". He's such a sweetheart.
- love his flip flops, and because everyone has told him he's cute in them, he's now asking people if they think they're cute on him! haha
-tonight when I was putting him to bed after prayers (which he's been saying by himself really well lately) he wanted to sing a song I didn't know. So I had him sing it to me. Usually he gets shy and quiet and also distracted and doesn't finish or doesn't sound clear... but he sang this song perfectly and told me to sing with him. "5 little ducks went out one day, over the hill and far away..." with hand motions and everything. He went from 5 ducks, to no ducks with a sad face at the end. It was ADORABLE and I loved every minute of it!!!
-The other day he was sitting at the table eating dinner and was talking to himself, which is not unusual, and started naming the months of the year! "June, July, August..." I was totally taken back! I am so grateful he is learning so much at his daycare.
- as before mentioned, he's my little therapist. When I'm obviously frustrated with ridiculous drivers around me he assures me that everything is okay and that "they didn't mean to mommy" or "that car didn't know mommy" he-he I told him my stomach felt sick this morning and he said "did you eat mommy?" to which I replied "Oh! Good idea!" He's really going to be the balance our family needs, I can feel it.
-He draws the CUTEST amazing little people ever. (some with poop? I don't know... I just... don't know)
-we got him his first Vans... they are SO Ben. They make him look so grown up. Sigh...
-He says "That's what I'M talking about..."
I love this kid of ours. He is a special and wise little soul.

Why do you have to live so far away? It would be so much fun to see your little guy grow up! I haven't seen him since my wedding and he was such a gorgeous little baby and now he is a gorgeous little 3 year old. I love reading the stories, it reminds me of my little guy. Isn't motherhood the best!?!?!?!?!?!?!!? Glad you are enjoying every moment of it. :)
